When I think back on my various SAT/ACT prep sessions, I am repeatedly concerned about the amount of time I spend remediating/reviewing the basics of math, writing, and reading.
I agree with the test publishers that families shouldn’t count on last-minute blasts of tutoring to improve a student’s score. Yes, there are strategies and “best practices,” but nothing replaces content competency. This is all ‘stuff’ that people are just supposed to know, especially if they are in eleventh grade or higher.
So, to encourage families to take advantage of free resources, I am compiling an ongoing list of resources and quizzes students can review to refresh themselves on this material before the family invests in test preparation.
You can sort this table by column or search for key terms. Some links are annotated with the book, page, and number of actual problems that employ the concept.
Parents and college students: Scan these quizzes to boost your skills at work and in class. This table will assist you in your college matriculation preparation, too.

Hi Michelle,
This is great stuff!!! My son is 9th grade but this makes for a great template to benchmark development against so they are ready come the SAT. Hope all is well.

You can also turn to these links to help him drill on current test concepts. Hopefully the concept names correspond.

Glad to see another SAT prep guide that looks professional and neat. It’s very important to give high school students the strategies they need to ace the Math SAT. There’s so many myths surrounding the test, I love seeing sites like this dedicated to quality info!
